Great piece!

I was also working recently on a similiar post. Not the what-if scenarios, but the recent trend in his promotional strategy. I wrote one during the Dbrand controversy way back.

At his core, I think MKBHD really wants to be at the heart of consumer tech accessories and software, he just struggles with finding something with broad appeal. Very surprising that other big YouTubers (Mr. Beast, Peter McKinnon, etc) have done strikingly better in this area even with tons of diverse followers/fans.

And I was trying something different with the what-if product suggestions. Haha

Yeah. It was really well done.

I agree with your take here, too. I think tech youtubers haven't really found the path ahead, out of YouTube. He even tried that Masterclass series, which was supposed be like a web series ig. I wouldn't be surprised if he wrote a book. Maybe it's coming...

I watched a portion of his Masterclass since I'm a subscriber. I honestly wouldn't be surprised if a book was coming as well. Haha
