The first camera I ever owned was less than $200. It was a Nikon D3000 that taught me everything I needed to know about aperture, ISO, and shutter speed. Since then, I've owned the:
Nikon D7100 (really love Nikon ergonomics. Really bad autofocus.)
Canon 6D (liked it so much that I bought two, but then I started doing video and they weren’t a great fit for that.)
Canon RP (wouldn’t recommend)
Z Cam E2-M4 (wouldn’t recommend)
Fuji X-T4 (currently own. A hybrid set up used mainly for events.)
Canon C300 mark ii (currently own. My go-to cinema camera.)
Leica SL2-S (currently own. Mainly use for high-end editorial work and as a second/B-camera.)
Lumix GX7 (currently own. My everyday photo camera.)
Full frame vs. MFT (micro four-thirds) vs. Crop Sensor. Who freaking cares. The camera is only one part of the visual storytelling equation, but it is a cornerstone of your creative workflow.
